Iowa Football's 2025 Recruiting Class received a big boost Sunday night. Four-star, in-state tight end Thomas Meyer announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes.

The four-star athlete from Clear Lake is pledging to Iowa as a tight end. Some other programs offered him as a defensive end.

Meyer (6-5, 210) chose the Hawkeyes ahead of reported scholarship offers from Duke, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Miami, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.

On3 Industry Rankings see Meyer as a four-star prospect. That composite source views him as the No. 262 player overall in the country for '25, the No. 15 tight end nationally and the third overall junior in Iowa.

Meyer visited Iowa multiple times, the latest stop happening this weekend. He also visited the Iowa State and Kansas State campuses.

As a junior this past fall, Meyer caught 25 passes for 407 yards and eight touchdowns. He also delivered 28 solo tackles, 14.0 stops for loss and 3.0 sacks.

Meyer is leading the Lions basketball team in scoring (12.4 PPG) and rebounding (7.8 RPG). You can watch Meyer on the gridiron HERE
