Per reports from Pete Nakos of On3 on Thursday, Memphis Tigers' cornerback Joel WIlliams has entered his name in the transfer portal. Williams confirmed the move later on Thursday.

Williams spent his first two college seasons at Kentucky in 2020 and 2021. He then transferred to Memphis for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. With the Tigers, Willams has totaled 16 tackles with one interception. He also had two pass deflections and a forced fumble for Memphis. He had five tackles during his time at UK.

That lone pick came in Memphis' win over Utah State in the First Responder Bowl at the conclusion of the 2022 season.

The Memphis roster had Williams listed at 6'1" and 203 pounds. As a graduate student, Williams will have two years of eligibility remaining. He was a four-star recruit coming out Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The spring transfer portal window opens on April 15.
