The April 16 opening of the college football transfer portal window made a notable G5 players available for new teams. One such player was Georgia State Panthers defensive end Javon Denis.

Denis spent the previous five seasons at Georgia State, including a redshirt year in 2019. With four career fumble recoveries, he ranks third in Georgia State history in that stat. He recovered two of those for touchdowns. He's one of only three players in Panther history with two defensive scores.

Denis is one of 11 reported Georgia State players to enter the transfer portal this month.

The Deerfield Beach, FL native also totaled 122 tackles with 25 for a loss and 11.5 for a sack in his career with the Panthers. He was an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention after the 2022 season. The Georgia State roster had the former three-star recruit listed at 6'0" and 272 pounds.

Denis will have one year of eligibility remaining. He'll be a graduate student at his next destination.
