Sam Houston Football Announces Series With Texas, TCU, UNLV, and ULM

Fans of the Sam Houston Bearkats can look forward to meetings with some high-profile opponents in the next handful of seasons. The school announced a several future marquis matchups this weekend.

Sam Houston will visit Texas on Sepetember 27, 2025. It will be just the second meeting between the two programs and the first since 2006.

The Bearkats have also announced a home-and-away series with UNLV. The first meeting will be at Sam Houston in 2025 (August 30). The second meeting will be at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on September 15, 2029.

On Sept. 18, 2027, Sam Houston and the TCU Horned Frogs will meet for the very first time. That game will take place in Fort Worth.

Finally, Sam Houston announced a home-and-away series with the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. The two sides will play at ULM in 2027 and at Sam Houston in 2028.

The Bearkats played their first season as FBS members in 2023, finishing with a record of 3-9 and a 2-6 record in Conference USA. They begin their 2024 season on August 31 at Rice.
