The Top 5 Georgia Players we Missed out on Without an EA College Football Game
College football fans got their first taste of EA Sports College Football 24 when the first teaser trailer dropped on Thursday morning. For the first time since 2013, fans will get a new college football game and play with their favorite schools. Due to a class-action lawsuit led by former UCLA basketball player Ed O'Bannon which challenged the NCAA's use of the images and the likeness of former players for commercial purposes, EA halted production of the game. But with the changes to NIL rules, the company will release a new game later this summer.
The excitement also comes with the sense that we missed out on many cool moments and players during the decade-long drought. There hasn't been a single game that featured the College Football Playoff. Think about all the greats who played during that era. Here's the list of our top 5 Georgia players we missed out on playing with.

Jan 1, 2018; Pasadena, CA, USA; Georgia Bulldogs running back Nick Chubb (27) is pursued by Oklahoma Sooners defensive back Steven Parker (10) on a 50-yard touchdown run in the third quarter in the 2018 Rose Bowl college football playoff semifinal game at Rose Bowl Stadium. Georgia defeated Oklahoma 54-48 in two overtimes.

5. Stetson Bennett (2019-22)
This is specifically designated for 2022 Stetson Bennett. The dude was special and in complete control of the offense after two full seasons as the starter. Sure, he doesn't have a 99 in arm strength, but his speed and accuracy would've more than made up for it. He would've been one of the most picked quarterbacks in a video game due to his ability to extend plays, and (honestly) make opponents pull their hair out. College Football Rating: 97
4. Nick Chubb (2014-17)
Just line up in the Power-I and hand the ball to No. 27 and you're going to win almost every game you play. That was true in reality and it would've been true in a college football game. Chubb was an all-around elite running back, but his ability to absorb impact at the line and still bust big runs was just different. College Football Rating: 97
3. Brock Bowers (2021-23)
If we're going purely off of a Madden-style rating, no one was better than Bowers for Georgia over the past 10 years. The two-time All-American is a 99. Arguably the best college football tight end ever, Bowers would've been a monster in video game form. College Football Rating: 99
2. Roquan Smith (2015-2017)
Anyone who's ever played a football video game knows that ILB is the most important position on defense. It's the spot most players choose to control and that player's ability to cover and tackle is massive. There wasn't a linebacker in America that covered more ground quicker than Roquan Smith. He was an absolute stud and he would've been the top linebacker in an Ultimate Team style mode. College Football Rating: 99
1. 2021 Defensive Line
Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, Travon Walker, Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Robert Beal... c'mon now. This group in a video game would've been a cheat code. Your friends would've rolled their eyes when you picked Georgia because you were taking the easy way. This is picking Real Madrid in FIFA 2002 or the Yankees in any of the old MLB games. You were going to win before the game started. College Football Rating: Unfair
