Mecole Hardman to play in NBA Celebrity All-Star Game on Friday

Just days removed from catching the Super Bowl-winning touchdown, former Georgia receiver Mecole Hardman will play in the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game.

It's been quite a week for former Bulldog Mecole Hardman. The Elbert County native caught the game-winning touchdown in Kansas City's thrilling overtime win over San Francisco in Super Bowl LVIII this past Sunday, earning his third Super Bowl ring in the process. Now, per a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, he'll be participating in the Ruffles NBA Celebrity All-Star Game on Friday night.

In a post on X, Schefter said "Mecole Hardman will play in tonight’s NBA Celebrity All-Star game on ESPN, joining the team of hobbled head coach Stephen A. Smith."

Team Shannon features celebrities like Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and actor Dylan Wang.

You can catch the game on ESPN at 7 pm.

Hardman and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates were devastated this past week, along with the rest of the country, when their Super Bowl celebratory parade was marred by a shooting that left one person dead and multiple people injured. Multiple Chiefs players and personnel stepped up during the tragedy, sheltering children and getting others to safety. The mother of a child at the parade took to Facebook to thank running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire for protecting her son.
