PFF Names Carson Beck the Nation's Top Returning Quarterback

Carson Beck earned the top spot for quarterbacks in PFF's Top Returning Starters of 2024.

If there's one position with no questionmarks for Georgia this spring, it's quarterback. Carson Beck is the unquestioned starter and one of the top prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft.

In his first season as a starter, Beck threw for 3,941 yards, the third most of any quarterback last season. His 72.4 completion percentage was a Georgia single-season record and he was one of 10 quarterbacks last season to average a first down per passing attempt.

With quarterbacks like Bo Nix, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and Caleb Williams heading to the NFL, few college quarterbacks remain with the resume and talent of Beck. That's why PFF named him the top returning quarterback in the sport.

Beck beat out Oregon's Dillon Gabriel and Alabama's Jalen Milroe for the top spot. After falling to him in the SEC Championship, Georgia will face Milroe again in 2024, as well as Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Ole Miss Quarterback Jaxson Dark, who ranked fifth and sixth on the list respectively.
