The Florida State Seminoles are set to take on Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland to kick off the 2024 college football season. They'll face off on Aug. 24, 2024, in what will be an exhilarating trip to start a new season.

Coming off a 13-0 season as ACC Champions, the Seminoles will have a chance to start next season in an incredibly fun way.

"I am so excited for our student-athletes, coaches, staff, administration, and fans for this opportunity," Florida State head coach Mike Norvell said in a statement earlier this year. "When this idea was first presented to me, I was immediately intrigued by a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the people in our program."

Traveling across the pond to play a football game provides an experience the student-athletes will never forget, and they'll be able to kick off another campaign in which they're hopeful to eventually bring more hardware back to Tallahassee.

With the Seminoles traveling to take on the Yellow Jackets, they'll be accompanied by ESPN's College GameDay, who will make the trip to see the Seminoles' first international game.

This matchup -- being an international matchup -- will bring in a large audience. The Seminoles were one of the most exciting college football teams to watch this season, and that's likely to continue as Norvell continues to build his program.

"This is an incredible opportunity for our student-athletes at Florida State and Georgia Tech to expand the reach of ACC football and play in front of an international audience," ACC commissioner Jim Phillips said in a statement earlier this year. "We appreciate the flexibility of both Florida State and Georgia Tech, and thank our partners at Irish American Events for making this game a reality."

Playing in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic will allow the Seminoles to continue building off an incredibly impressive two-year stretch that Norvell and the program have put together.
