TCU's Cordale Russell transfers to Colorado

Deion Sanders got a blazing wide receiver via the transfer portal on Sunday.
Cordale Russell announced he would be Boulder bound to add depth for the Buffaloes stacked wide receiver room. The former TCU speedster will be another weapon for Shedeur Sanders at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds.
An original four-star ESPN Top 300 recruit from North Mesquite (Texas), who was a top five receiver in the 2023 class. A prototypical commit for Coach Prime as a three-sport athlete. Russell was a track and field star second in the Texas 6A Division. He was also a basketball first-team selection as a junior.
Russell saw no action this year at TCU. He was a two-way player as a senior (wide receiver, edge), racking up 34 receptions for 725 yards and nine touchdowns with an average of 21.3 yards per catch.
Colorado has one of the best receiver groups in the country with Travis Hunter as the pivotal leader. Russell gives the CU's offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur another playmaker with a ton of potential as a day one starter. He carries the nickname of 'Baby T.O.' and will actually have the wisdom of Terrell Owens with him being involved with the program.
A great route runner who understands both his assignment and how the defender might play him. His speed is a raw trait he continues to fine tune as he grows into the game. It's a quality that having Sanders as a coach will help him develop into a next-level prospect.
Russell comes to Colorado with four year of eligibility remaining.
