Chazz Wallace has hopped back in the transfer portal on Monday after just a year with Coach Prime and Colorado.

The 6-foot-2, 300-pound defensive lineman saw time in ten games (four starts) last year, despite mostly being at the back of the rotation. He recorded 11 tackles with 1.5 sacks after coming over from Old Dominion. Wallace was part of the Buffs initial portal surge, but will head elsewhere after CU's staff retooled the defensive front, which likely left him searching for playing time.

Out of the 26 transfers coming to Boulder, six of them are on the defensive line, including LSU's Quency Wiggins and ASU's BJ Green. Colorado is currently plus eight in the transfer portal, which is expected to fluctuate over the next couple weeks. Buffs defensive back Jaden Milliner-Jones also entered the portal on Monday evening. The duo announced they were leaving CU on the first day after the dead period.

Wallace, a three-star in the 2021 recruiting class, played for the United States National Under-19 team in the International Bowl. He committed to ODU with very few major Power Five offers on the table. The Gaithersburg, Maryland native wanted to stay close to home. He has 65 tackles (10 for loss) and a blocked kick in his career thus far.

Wallace will have two years of eligibility remaining on the books.
