Auburn basketball currently has a talented transfer on campus for a visit

Auburn basketball is looking to add some talent via the transfer portal.

Auburn's basketball season came to a brutal ending as the Tigers won the SEC Tournament in Nashville, but they lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to the Yale Bulldogs.

Now, Coach Bruce Pearl will try to add a few talented players via the transfer portal to help this team next season.

Guard KD Johnson already entered the transfer portal, and we could see a few names join him at some point.

Johni Broome still has the decision to make about what his next step is, whether to return to Auburn for another season or make a move to the NBA and see if a team would take a shot on the All-American.

Good news for Auburn basketball fans: a talented player in the portal is currently on campus for a visit. JP Pegues a 6'1 185 pound guard from Nashville, Tennessee, who spent his last few college seasons playing for the Furman Paladins. Last season for the Paladins, Pegues averaged 18.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game last season. The talented guard shot 36.2% from deep this season, which would be a big boost for Auburn's shooting.

Pegues is one of the best guards in the portal, and if Auburn was able to land him on top of bringing in five-star guard Tahaad Pettiford, the Tigers would have much better guard play during the 2024-25 season.

Guard play was the problem for Auburn this season, and Coach Pearl is making sure he addresses this issue in the portal.
