Auburn has signed Duke transfer LB Dorian Mausi
Hugh Freeze broke some news during his Signind Day Press Conference.
He announced that Auburn has signed Duke linebacker Dorian Mausi via the transfer portal.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound defender was in town this past weekend and must have liked what he saw from the Auburn football program.
Mausi comes to Auburn having played a lot of football for Duke. This past season, he played 387 snaps, following up a 409-snap season in 2021 and a 736-snap season for the Blue Devils in 2021. He played 299 snaps in 2020.
He was a 3-star in the 2020 class for the Duke Blue Devils.
He joins a linebacker room that all of a sudden has some real depth to it. Cam Riley, Wesley Steiner, Eugene Asante, and Austin Keys are all members of the room who have played solid snaps. Jake Levant, Robert Woodyard, Powell Gordon are other upperclassmen who could trend up this season. Freshman linebackers DJ Barber and Demarcus Riidick are already on campus.
Mausi is the third transfer pickup for Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers this month. He joins Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis and Kansas defensive lineman Gage Keys as players who have joined the program via the transfer portal.
