2026 four-star offensive lineman Darius Gray (Richmond, Va.) made his third trip to see the Tennessee Volunteers.

St. Christopher's School offensive tackle Darius Gray is an early national prospect with an affinity for the Tennessee Volunteers. Though only a sophomore in high school, Gray has now made three trips to see the Vols. His most recent stop in Knoxville, Tennessee, came this past weekend. Gray was among dozens of high-priority names attending, and even with the crowd, Tennessee made him feel special.

"Our relationship keeps growing," Gray told Volunteer Country after the trip. "I think that's one of the most important things. The first two trips, you see if you like it and want to come back. After that, if you really enjoy a place, that's when you go back three or four times. I just keep going and getting more comfortable with them."

Gray ranks as the No. 53 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings, holding offers from 19 programs. His list includes programs like Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, and Notre Dame. While he appreciates all the national names giving chase, Gray knows what he's looking for, and it's not the name of a program. "Just going to a place where I can compete for a spot that still has that family atmosphere," he explained. "It doesn't matter what school it is; as long as I have a good feeling about that place. Tennessee is one of those schools, and they're also very good at football."

A program's atmosphere is at the top of Gray's checklist when looking for a place to call home. "I think the most important thing the game of football has blessed us with is the ability to make someone's day. When you go to Tennessee, from players to staff to normal students at the school, they are all related and have a bond. Personally, that's my overall goal: to treat everybody the same and have a bond with everyone, and you can see Tennessee has that as a whole."

"It's been great. I think Tennessee's a school to watch, no doubt. My family and I talk about them all the time. No doubt, they check all the boxes I have so far, and eventually when I sit down with my family and commit, I'll be looking for a place that checks my boxes."
